Sitting in Darkness

Are you sitting in darkness? Do you have one foot in the world and one foot in the forgiveness of God? Do you know where you are going? Do you trust with your faith, or do you trust in your sight? “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” ( James 1:8 ) Are you overcome with the pressures of living in this world? Do you long for a release from the stresses of everyday struggles with the world? Do you know how to get that release? There is a way! A Way more blessed than you can fully grasp. Even for mature Christians, it is a source of unending wonder...the Power of the Holy Spirit!

The LORD is your rock and your fortress, and your deliverer; your God, your strength, in whom you can trust; your buckler and the horn of your salvation, and your high tower. You can call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised: so shall you be saved from your enemies. (Psalms 18:2-5).

The Holy Spirit was sent to bring comfort, encouragement, strength and the blessings of a confident and peaceful mind to you. As a light in the darkness, the Word of God has sought you out that you may in turn bring light to others who are in the dark. Jesus brought you great comfort when He told you of the blessings that you were to receive and the blessing that YOU ARE to HIM! Yes! YOU are a blessing to Jesus! How great is that?

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you, when men shall defame you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matt5:3-12)

And the best part of all? “”You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do people light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works, and glorify the Father which is in heaven. “” (Matt 5:14-16)

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, through inspiration from the Holy Spirit! Isn't that good news? Bring the Light into someone's world who desperately needs it. Your Blessing will shine before the Lord and be counted to you for righteousness!
