The adversary has no power over your faith

As a follower of Christ Jesus, you must always be prepared to give account for the Joy that is inside you. Yet sometimes, when your energy is low, or the Adversary overwhelms you (which can happen) you falter. The Holy Spirit knows this and has made provision for it in the giving of the Word to you. The Word strengthens you. It feeds you. It supports and defends you. It is all things to you, if you allow It to be. Remember that all things work for the good of those who love God and are called to His purpose.

Even after Jesus had fed 5000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes and still had 12 baskets of food left over, the disciples were still not fully prepared to understand exactly WHO this man was. As that day wore on, Jesus bid His disciples to get in a boat and travel to the other side of the narrow Sea of Galilee. Jesus went to the mountain top and prayed. The sea became violent and the disciples were gripped with concern and fear. Jesus, knowing this went to them, by walking on the top of the water. The disciples, thinking that it was a spirit, became even more troubled. Jesus, knowing their fear was unreasonable, called out and said "Be of good cheer, It is I; be not afraid" Matt 14:27

Then Peter responded, "Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water"...and the Lord said, "Come" Matt 14:28-29 (paraphrased). Peter got out of the boat, stepped onto the top of the water and then began to walk toward the Lord Jesus. Yet, right in the midst of this miracle, Peter's attention becomes distracted by the earthly environment and he once again was taken over by fear. As Peter began to sink into the water, he cried out to the Lord, 'Save me!’ Jesus immediately reached forth His hand and caught Peter. Jesus then said to Peter, "Oh ye of little faith! why do you doubt?" Matt 14:31

When you find yourself in difficult circumstances and your problems distracting, remember that the Holy Spirit, (directs you to the Supreme protective Love the Savior has for you), He will never allow you to be swallowed up by the water. Only YOU can do that, by faltering in doubt! Know that the Lord Jesus walks daily by your side and that the adversary has no power over your faith. “Count it all joy when you fall into common temptations; knowing that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, wanting nothing. If you lack wisdom, ask God, that gives to all liberally, and doubt not; and it shall be given you. Ask in faith, not wavering. For if you doubt you’re like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:2-6
