You need each other, don’t magnify your gift.

The eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. No, much more of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary.  And those members of the body, which you think to be less honorable, God gives more abundant honor; to that part which lacked. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it. Don’t magnify your gift…God will raise up someone else with the same gift, but without the pride.

You need each other, don’t magnify your gift. Don’t minimize your gift. Don’t belittle yourself, which is false-humility, a form of pride! To belittle yourself is the flesh fishing for compliments. Don’t minimize your gift to get out of using it! And don’t listen to the enemy lie to you with: you cannot be used.

You may find your gift is not as public as someone on stage, it may be behind the scenes, but don’t minimize the importance of it, or you insult your God Who gave it to you! You need to decide if you are working for the glory of God or the praise of others. You must focus clearly on who you are, why God has left you here, and what gifts He’s given you, then you need to get together, put it all together, diverse body parts…all put your parts together into the body of Christ!

He has your hands so use them to Glorify God! Get together with others in the Service of Christ, and (learn each ones gift in detail, not just your own, but learn about others and how they think!) Then, whatever gifts you have, whether public or not, prominent or not, whether you’re an eye or a big toe, be prepared to use your gifts for the glory of God!
