It is not good for humans to be alone.

Poverty results from isolation. God himself said that it is not good for humans to be alone. The abandoned one is poor in all these ways because of not being loved or being unable to love. Even those who are materially rich, if they reject God’s love and close in on themselves, are poor in the worst ways, the ways of mind and spirit. Such people either think themselves to be self-sufficient, or to consider the vastness of the universe and the impersonal forces that act on them, and think themselves to be insignificant and meaningless atoms in that impersonal and hostile cosmos. You must, to remain whole, know yourself to be with another, to be grounded in the Creator of all things.

Others live and do as they want desiring only to please and satisfy the sinful nature. “If it feels good, do it” is the boast of modern day pleasure seekers. Immorality is all around you. One does not have to watch television very long to have their sensibilities assaulted. Television programming and commercials are based on the thought that sex sells. "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral"(HEBREWS 13:4). God is still concerned about morality.

God has established marriage between a man and a woman as the ultimate expression of love. How very sad that it has come to the point that states have to pass laws defining marriage. God blesses God-pleasing marriages abundantly. There is companionship. It is not good to be alone. "Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them" (PSALM 127:3-5a). Yes, contrary to the feelings of today, children are blessings. They are not to be counted as liabilities.

Genesis 2:18-2:24 IT IS NOT GOOD TO BE ALONE. God creates companionships – marriages blessed as families. MARRIAGE IS A JOYFUL COMMITMENT Verse 20. Adam names all the animals. There is no helper suitable. Man and animals are different. God knew this. God wanted the man, Adam to come to the same conclusion. God creates woman, verse 21. With great joy God presents woman to man, verse 22. The man, Adam, is overjoyed. He sees woman, Eve, as a suitable helper, a companion. Verse 23 Adam realizes the close connection between them both. She is a very part of me! Woman in Hebrew is eeshah and man in Hebrew is eesh. Woman is from man.
Marriage is given a “bad rap” by many in the world today. There are no boundaries in society. When Scripture is clear concerning what it is right and what is wrong many feel offended. God’s word is concerned about people’s lives and people’s marriages.
